Yoga-A-Go-Go! this Saturday, June 16

Calling all yoga practioners and fitness buffs! The second Yoga-A-Go-Go! will be held this Saturday, June 16 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Nature Yoga, 2021 W. Division St.

This fundraiser helps get your mind and body in shape as five volunteer instructors guide experts and novices alike in a session that will last 75 minutes (5:15 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.). It’s followed by food, drinks and music at 6:30 p.m., with a raffle drawing at 7 p.m.

Register at the door, with the suggested donation $25. All proceeds benefit the work done by CCH.

Instructors leading the yoga session are (in order):
Carla Tantillo of Mindful Practices – Warm Up, Sun Salutations
Allison Rootberg of Core Power Yoga – Simple Flow
Wade Gotwals of Nature Yoga – Advanced Flow, Arm Balances
Zach Greene of Nature Yoga – Back Bends, Inversions
Lara Veon of Mindful Practices – Guided Meditation

Please plan to stick around for the post-yoga session party and mingle with the cool people in your class. Complimentary drinks and homemade snacks will be offered, with music provided by DJ Allgood (Vancouver). Beer graciously provided by Crown Imports.  Other beverages are generously being supplied by members of the CCH Associate Board.

Like our last yoga event, every attendee will also be entered into a fabulous door prize drawing. Last October, practically everyone walked out with a nice gift. This year you can expect great yoga attire and gear from Lululemon, handcrafted yoga mat carrycases from Thailand, and the big hit from last year – homemade banana bread!  Still warm and straight from the oven!

For event organizer Carla Tantillo of Mindful Practices, this event is a family affair. Her mother, Violet, bakes the famed banana bread.

And this year her Aunt Cathy has handcrafted leather and metal bracelets that will be given to the first 20 attendees to arrive. In keeping with the mindful spirit of the event, each bracelet was making was blessed with the intention: “I am my brother’s keeper.”

Last October’s Yoga-A-Go-Go instructors include returning instructors (2nd from left) Wade Gotwals, Lara Veon and Carla Tantillo.
