June 1: Buddy Guy, Eddie Shaw & Todd Park Mohr to join Rollover & Los Lobos at Hopefest

As if headlining act Los Lobos weren’t enough for our  Hopefest concert, we are also extremely excited about our opening act and their jaw-dropping list of special guests!

For the past two decades, our opening act, Rollover, has been the bridge between the Blues and Rock ‘n’ Roll.   How electrifying is a Rollover performance?  Consider that they were the first Chicago band to be signed by the legendary Bill Graham Management.

For its Hopefest performance, Rollover is being joined by…

Buddy Guy, a 6-time Grammy Award winner and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. A true innovator of blues guitar, Guy was a pioneer of the Chicago Blues and remains one of the most influential guitarists alive today. His blues nightclub, Buddy Guy’s Legends, has been in Chicago for over 20 years.

Eddie Shaw, an award-winning tenor saxophonist extraordinaire. Eddie is one of the most respected blues musicians alive today. He has been performing for more than 50 years and played extensively with blues royalty Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf. He has led his own band, Eddie Shaw and the Wolf Gang, since 1976.

Todd Park Mohr, a founding member, singer, and guitarist for platinum record selling band Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Todd has toured and recorded extensively since forming the band in 1986.

$60 tickets to the Park West show, 8 p.m. Friday, June 1, are still available online.
