If you left a voicemail on our call-in line between Monday, May 11 and Friday, May 15 at 5 p.m., we made two attempts to call back each applicant by May 27.
All applicants will be notified, whether they receive a grant or not. Grants will be dispersed by late June.
We received over 6,000 applications and will have funding to award about 300 grants. All applications submitted during the May 11 – 15 application period will be given equal weight during the review period in June.
The Chicago Coalition for the Homeless Mutual Aid Fund has created a $150,000 fund to provide one-time emergency grants of up to $500 to individuals or families experiencing homelessness. This includes people who are unsheltered, staying at a shelter, or living doubled-up with family or friends. Those who were previously homeless and are now at risk of becoming homeless again are also welcome to apply.
- Must be 18 years or older OR an unaccompanied youth 16 years or older,
- An Illinois resident, and
- Homeless or previously homeless and at risk of becoming homeless again (includes people who are unsheltered, staying at a shelter, or living doubled-up with family or friends)
Undocumented individuals and permanent residents are welcome to apply.
