Friends,
I just pledged to vote YES for a Fair Tax on November 3rd because I believe the rich should pay their fair share in taxes so that we can get more money for community needs like housing, schools, and health care.
Sign a Pledge Card today and commit to voting YES for a Fair Tax with me on November 3rd.
Right now, Illinois has a Flat Tax where millionaires pay the same tax rate as teachers. That’s not fair. It overburdens low-income and middle class households, and there’s not enough money for our community.
Together, we have the opportunity to make Illinois a place where if you make more than $250,000, you pay more. If you make $250,000 or less, your income taxes would stay the same or go down.
By passing a Fair Tax, we can raise an additional $3.4 billion to be invested in our communities on January 1, 2021.
We are hosting Bi-Weekly Statewide Days of Action every other Wednesday starting today to identify Fair Tax supporters. We are asking everyone to take out their phones and reach out to at least 5 friends, family members, neighbors, or coworkers to ask if they will stand up, sign a Pledge Card, and vote YES for a Fair Tax for Illinois by 9PM today.
After signing the pledge card, forward this email to at least 5 friends and family! You can also find pre-written scripts for calls, texts, and Facebook posts here.
