Saturday, Feb. 15: Health fair to sign up youth ages 19 and older for new ACA health insurance options

On Saturday, February 15, CCH Youth Futures will partner with the Young Invincibles to host a National Youth Enrollment Day event in Chicago’s Loop.

The free health fair will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Willow Creek Ministry Center, 418 S. Wabash Ave.

CCH and Young Invincibles will welcome low-income and homeless youth age 19 and older who wish to learn about and enroll in new health insurance options that recently became available under the Affordable Care Act.

Youth attending the event will receive assistance with transportation, free lunch, and free flu shots provided by Walgreen’s. This event is part of CCH’s broader goal of ensuring that all vulnerable young people in Chicago are able to access primary and preventative health care in order to avoid long term illnesses that cause or prolong housing instability.

Anyone interesting in attending the event or obtaining more information should email Equal Justice Works Fellow Graham Bowman for more information.
