With support from the Woods Fund of Chicago, Policy Director Julie Dworkin and Organizing Director Jim Field have written a report that details the Sweet Home Chicago campaign and coalition.
The CCH report outlines how the coalition was developed and structured, and why it worked so well. It describes key strategic elements that made the campaign successful, and what we learned about advocacy done at the city level.
Sweet Home Chicago: The Story of an Affordable Housing Campaign can now be accessed online at Issue Lab.
The report also was presented at a recent meeting that Woods hosted for foundations that support organizing and coalition-building, including Marguerite Casey Foundation, Polk Bros. Foundation, and Weiboldt Foundation. All four foundations generously support work done by CCH.
