We are stronger together. Working internally and externally with partners makes our work stronger, smarter, and more efficient and creates honest conversations that advance our collective goals. We respect and trust those we work with, honoring their unique knowledge and way of operating.
We are honest and forthright with ourselves and our partners and are accountable to each other. Transparency and consistency undergird how we approach our work.
We value action that is grounded in smart, deliberate strategy that will achieve wins. This work builds towards a broader vision of the world we want to see while recognizing the world as it is.
We care about others. We care about those experiencing homelessness and act to right the injustices they are facing. We care about the well-being of our leaders, our co-workers, our partners. We do what we can, when we can, to make things better.
We recognize how homelessness connects with other systemic issues that impact people based on color, immigration status, gender, sexuality and other societal identifiers. These multiple identities intersect and create a unique experience for each person. In working to end homelessness, it is important that people with these varying lived experiences are at all times acknowledged and actively leading in our work. Through this lens, we are able to address public policies against racism, sexism, heterosexism, and other systemic issues in our fight to end homelessness.
